We just came out of a cold snap in Alberta. It snowed hard last week in the mountains which dropped the air and water temperature. Fishing in the parks slowed down. As the air warms up this week expect to see increasing fishing success.
Wedge Pond was fishing poor for Grayling on May 14, 2016. Again...water and air temperature the big problems. Wedge tends to warm up faster and during the day if you see an insect hatch on the water the surface will be active with grayling. When they come in shallower they can be easier to catch and then release.
Here is a video of one fish I caught yesterday.
Mark Twain said it best... "It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for sure that just ain't so." When it comes to fishing...everyday is a learning experience!
